I was proud of the way in which our students represented the College at serval ANZAC services across the community. At Phoenix, we will be addressing this issue in the coming weeks by providing education sessions to students and additional sessions for parents. We know that whilst these platforms have fantastic features and help us stay connected to friends and family the flip side is that they can also be used to bully, harass and intimidate others. The prevalence of social media platforms is far greater today in 2022, than it was in 2020 and even more so than 2000. As we return to face-to-face learning, we resume the DET expectation that phones are off and away all day. Students should bring their charged device to school every day. At school, the expectation is that our laptop is a tool for learning. One of the by-products of COVID times has been an increase reliance on technology to support learning. Student Free Day – due to Parent Teacher Interviewsįamily members of Academy of Sport students are invited to attend an open training session. The camp is a pre-requisite for any student wishing to apply for the Year 12 Leadership Team in 2023.

This camp offers students the opportunity to develop and showcase their leadership skills through participation in workshops and listening to guest speakers as well as working on a project. Student free days will be confirmed throughout the school year. Due to the current pandemic, please continually check COMPASS and the online newsletter for important information and sudden changes in the College’s timetable.
